HANOI, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Chairman of the National Council (upper house) of Bhutan Tashi Dorji will pay an official visit to Vietnam on May 11-14, at the invitation of Vietnam's top legislator Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Vietnam News Agency reported on Wednesday.

Since their diplomatic relations establishment in 2012, Vietnam and Bhutan have boasted sound friendship.

Bhutan has so far set up diplomatic ties with only 53 nations, according to the agency.
